21-Year-Old Waitress Stabs 30-Year-Old Woman in Yerevan
A criminal case has been initiated in the central police department based on the characteristics of Article 112, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. According to Shamshyan.com, the case was opened following a stabbing incident that occurred on June 23 in Yerevan.
On that day, around 1:10 AM, officers David Ghazaryan and Henrik Saloyan of the first battalion of the patrol service noticed an unconscious woman lying on the ground on Arami Street, bleeding profusely. The officers retrieved a first aid kit from their patrol vehicle and provided immediate assistance to the injured woman before transporting her to the number one university hospital.
Doctors on-site rushed her into surgery and managed to save her life. The police later identified the victim as 30-year-old Varduhi R., a resident of Yerevan. She had been stabbed by 21-year-old Svetlana G. around 1:00 AM the same night after a dispute between them.
Svetlana was located and taken in for questioning by the criminal investigation department operatives, and after the inquiry, she was arrested on suspicion of causing bodily harm.
According to G. Shamshyan, the suspect is employed as a waitress at the “Ev Drinking House” café in Yerevan.
