Video: Location of Major Accident in Ijevan that Claimed Lives

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has initiated a criminal case under Article 242, Part 3 of the Criminal Code concerning the circumstances of a fatal car accident that occurred on Artsakh Street in Ijevan.

According to preliminary data, on December 21, 2021, around 19:40, vehicles including a BMW X5, a Range Rover, and an Opel Astra collided in the indicated area, resulting in the deaths of the driver of the Opel Astra and two passengers. Four other individuals have been hospitalized with various physical injuries.

During the pre-investigation, numerous investigative and procedural actions have been conducted, including forensic examinations, seizures, and inspections. Several individuals have been questioned as witnesses, and the vehicles involved in the accident have been recognized as physical evidence and transferred to the custody of the Ijevan division of the Armenian police. The investigation is ongoing.
