Video: Pashinyan-Putin Private Meeting
As we have already reported, the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan have completed their trilateral negotiations in Sochi. The meeting lasted for three hours.
After the trilateral discussions, Putin held a separate meeting with Pashinyan. During the meeting, Pashinyan noted that there has been an increase in Russian investments in Armenia in 2021.
“In 2021, we observe a certain activation of Russian investments in Armenia. And this is very important for us, as I believe it is a signal to investors that Armenia is a very reliable country in the region, which is, of course, very important for us,” said Pashinyan.
He also pointed out that, unfortunately, the economic difficulties related to the coronavirus pandemic continue. There has been an activation of trade turnover within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
The Prime Minister expressed hope that they would eventually reach a decision to open all economic and transport communications in the region, which would definitely lead to an activation of trade and economic ties both within the EAEU and in the bilateral relations between Armenia and Russia.
Pashinyan emphasized that the bilateral relations between Armenia and Russia are very important.
