Why Did You Change the Minister of Defense? MP Asks Pashinyan
“Why did you change the Minister of Defense, what was the reasoning behind it, and what logic guided your choice of the new minister? Did they have any domestic or foreign policy component?” Today, during the Q&A session of the National Assembly and the Government, Tigran Abrahamyan, a member of the "Honorary Duty" faction, directed his question to the Prime Minister.
“Regarding the change of the Minister of Defense, I should mention that the ministerial position is a discretionary one, and I do not believe that the details of the minister’s change should be publicly discussed,” the Prime Minister noted.
“One thing I can say is that the term discretionary provides a very comprehensive understanding,” he added.
“The motivation for the appointment of the new minister is explained by the fact that experiments show that, after all, the consistency of the political context is very important, and I consider it crucial that representatives of our political team hold the positions of both the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Defense; this will help...” said Nikol Pashinyan.
