We Need Strong Nerves. Pashinyan
While we talk about peace, Azerbaijan is resorting to new military provocations along our border. This was stated by Sona Ghazaryan, a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction, during a question-and-answer session with the Government in the National Assembly, as she directed a question to Nikol Pashinyan. 'What conclusions should this lead us to, and what actions should we take in this situation?'
Pashinyan responded that he understands very well that opening an era of peace will not be easy, and that we need strong nerves. 'We have also emphasized that opening an era of peaceful development does not depend solely on us. We have stated that there will be actions aimed primarily at proving to our public that an era of peaceful development is impossible. This indicates that all of this is our agenda, and since we have accepted it as a strategy, we must consistently pursue that agenda,' Pashinyan said.
According to him, the Armenian side has deemed the international community's positions unjust in the entire negotiation process regarding the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue and has not considered the opponent's positions to be audible at all. 'It has turned out that from a certain point onward, our positions began to be unheard by the international community. It is impossible to take questions that relate to the international agenda and measure them only by one’s own yardstick. One can do that, but it will not bring success or solutions,' he said.
