US State Department on Developments in Armenia
The international community urges Yerevan and Baku to refrain from further exacerbating the situation and to engage in substantive negotiations. This statement was made by the United States Department of State on Tuesday evening.
A representative of the American diplomatic agency responded to a query from the Russian TACC agency, stating: "We have seen troubling reports about active military operations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. We call on Armenia and Azerbaijan to immediately cease military actions and resume negotiations, including under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group, to find a comprehensive solution to all issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict."
