Ruling Faction Deputies Were Frightened: 'Iravunk'
'Iravunk' newspaper reports that, according to information obtained by 'Iravunk', the government residence has been placed under heightened surveillance since yesterday. Even the government was unaware of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's whereabouts during the tense situation at the border.
The uncertainty and fear have gripped the deputies of the ruling faction in the National Assembly. In particular, members of the National Assembly's Committee on Defense and Security were seen anxiously pacing back and forth in the parliamentary corridors, giving the impression that they were conducting a 'combat operation' without being able to find their target.
It later became clear that the target was the CSTO, for which they were supposed to deliver speeches at the National Assembly podium. However, no adequate explanation could be obtained from the representatives of the ruling Civil Contract Party. The courage of Andranik Kocharyan, Vahagn Aleksanyan, Arpi Davoyan, and Vahagn Hovakimyan seemed to suffice only to say 'no' to interview and press conference offers.
