The U.S. Opens Its Doors to Refugees Starting in 2022
The White House has issued a statement announcing that U.S. President Joe Biden has doubled the refugee admission quota for the fiscal year 2022. Specifically, instead of 62,500 refugees, the U.S. plans to accept 125,000 refugees over the course of the year starting from October 1.
Additionally, the U.S. aims to accept 10,000 refugees from Europe and Central Asia.
