Vaccination Does Not Eliminate the Risk of Infection: Anahit Avanesyan
The coronavirus vaccine does not eliminate the risk of infection. This was stated today by the Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, during a discussion organized by the permanent committee of the National Assembly on human rights protection and public affairs regarding the restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“No medication, no medical intervention can guarantee anything 100 percent. What is the effectiveness of medications against COVID? Do they guarantee 100 percent recovery? The numbers show that they do not. 20 percent of vaccinated individuals who get infected experience severe illness, 5 percent have critical conditions, and 2 percent succumb to the disease. So what should we do now, not treat them?” Avanesyan said.
