Leaders Tear Up Resignation Letters in Their Offices One Day Before Elections
The newspaper 'Joghour' reports: 'One day before the snap parliamentary elections held on June 20, several individuals holding leadership positions in security forces submitted their resignation letters, believing that the opposition would win the elections and seeking to secure their positions. They intended to sign their resignation letters immediately after the Central Electoral Commission announced the election results and to leave their posts. However, as it is known, the Central Electoral Commission registered the victory of the current authorities with 53.91 percent of the vote after summarizing the preliminary results of the election. Now, according to our information, following this announcement, those who had submitted resignation letters in the security agencies tore them up in their offices. This means that the outcome of the elections was favorable for them.'
