Russia Imposes Retaliatory Sanctions Against the EU
Russia has banned the entry of eight citizens from EU countries and representatives of EU official bodies into the country. This was reported by the RIA Novosti news agency, citing the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that this is a response to the EU sanctions, which "contradict the UN Charter and the fundamental norms of international law."
"All our proposals to resolve any problematic issues arising in direct professional dialogue between Russia and the EU are consistently ignored or rejected," the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
