You Tell a Person to Go Talk, Then You Say They are in a Deal to Stage a Coup: Marukyan to the Prime Minister
You tell a person to go talk, then you say they are in a deal to stage a coup. This was stated by Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the Bright Armenia faction, addressing Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in the National Assembly.
“You were in the Ministry of Defense bunker on the night of November 10 when people began to gather and protests started. You instructed Onik Gasparyan during discussions to meet with the leaders of various political forces, including myself. You said to meet with those people who were coming to the Ministry of Defense building, the National Assembly, and the government residences, to talk to them. Now it turns out that you authorized him to meet and speak, and then you say that you have talked to them, you are collaborating, you want to stage a coup. Is that so, or is it not?” said Marukyan.
Pashinyan responded by stating that he is very clear about whom Onik Gasparyan received permission to meet with and whom he did not. “He knew that all senior military personnel have the right to engage in political communication only with my permission. I know that he met with you, I permitted him to meet with you, I know that a meeting took place on the 10th, I allowed it. I know what I am talking about,” Pashinyan stated.
