Muradov's Statement Raised Questions: Why Did He Go and Return Empty-Handed? - Kocharyan
Muradov's statement raised questions for me: why did Muradov go and return empty-handed? This was stated by Andranik Kocharyan, the chairman of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Defense and Security, during a conversation with journalists regarding the issue of prisoners.
“Muradov didn’t just sit in the plane, go for a joyride, and come back if that corresponds to reality. But you saw that the information changed several times throughout the day. If we start from the reality that Muradov indeed went, and it coincided with Pashinyan’s visit to Moscow, it left the impression that the issue of prisoners is somehow being resolved, but that did not correspond to reality,” Kocharyan said, also addressing Muradov's statement where he mentioned that there were no agreements regarding the prisoners and the authorities are trying to manipulate the people.
“I believe that Muradov, being a military officer, had no right to make such a statement. A military officer should have certain boundaries in their statements and should not overstep them, while the public should trust its government,” he emphasized.
