British Army on High Alert Amid Possible War Between Russia and Ukraine

Against the backdrop of a potential military clash between Russia and Ukraine in Donbas, the British Army has been placed on a high state of readiness, reports Mirror, citing government sources.

“The deployment of Russian troops near Ukraine’s borders has raised concerns within the UK Ministry of Defence. The situation is being monitored continuously. I would characterize it as an escalating crisis,” said a source from the newspaper.

The British government and military command have also stated that they are following the developments in the region with “alarm.” The tension in eastern Ukraine is increasingly escalating, with instances of ceasefire violations in Donetsk rising in recent days. The situation has also deteriorated on the diplomatic front recently.
