Armenians Live in a New Maragha: Senor Hasratyan

Senor Hasratyan, the former spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense of Artsakh, has addressed the events of Maragha on the 29th anniversary through a Facebook post. The post states:

“Exactly 29 years ago, on April 10, 1992, Azerbaijani armed groups, supported by around 20 units of armored vehicles, entered the village of Maragha in Artsakh, massacring at least 94 Armenians, including children, women, and the elderly. They captured 63 individuals, some of whom were released through various means, while 8 were killed, and the fate of 29 remains unknown to this day… All this happened in front of the civilized world… The same world that taught us about ‘democracy’ and ‘humanity’ silently and indifferently watched one of the latest massacres against the Armenian people at the end of the 20th century.

Note: 29 years ago, Armenians managed to self-organize and rediscover their identity and achieve success… Today, we find ourselves in the same, and perhaps even a heavier, situation… The Armenian people still live in a new Maragha, which can only be overcome by rejecting not just the external enemy but also, first and foremost, the internal enemy… That enemy, which is essentially anti-national, alien, and falsely peaceful, is capable of leading the country to perpetual defeat for the sake of a few coins they throw forward…”
