Over 15,000 Immigrant Children Unaccompanied in the U.S.
In the United States, the number of immigrant children who are unaccompanied and in the custody of the border service, health, and social services departments has exceeded 15,000. This was reported by RT.
According to CBS News, which cited government data, nearly 5,000 children are in facilities operated by the border service at the U.S. border with Mexico. Additionally, about 10,500 immigrant children have been placed in specialized centers by the Department of Health and Human Services, where they are awaiting reunification with their relatives.
