Suspect in Abuse of MP Hakob Aslanyan Released
The court recognized the unlawful nature of Hakob's arrest and released him. This was reported by lawyer Benik Galstyan on his Facebook page.
“The court acknowledged that Hakob's arrest was unlawful and released him. I thank judge Artush Gabrielyan for the objective decision. Let me remind you that Hakob had insulted My Step faction MP Hakob Aslanyan. I would also like to note that my client is a participant of the Artsakh Liberation War; he joined our newly formed army on a volunteer basis at the age of 17 and participated in several fierce battles,” he wrote.
It should be noted that yesterday, Hakob Hovhannisyan was taken from his residence to the Arabkir division of the Armenian Police and was arrested. He is suspected of insulting MP Hakob Aslanyan from the My Step faction on February 26.
