Iran Launches Naval Forces Exercises
The 99th Naval Forces exercises of the Iranian army are being conducted off the coast of Makran and in the Northern Indian Ocean. The first phase of the exercises, which started unexpectedly, involves ground, underwater, and aerial units being deployed in the training area to carry out their professional operations according to a pre-determined scenario, as reported by Pars Today.
During the exercises, land missile launches, torpedo firing from local submarines, special operations unit training exercises on land and at sea, as well as drone and forest operations will be conducted.
The spokesperson for the exercises, Admiral Amir Hamzehali Kavian, stated, “These exercises were launched unexpectedly, with very little time given to inform participating units.”
