Calls from Fake Phone Numbers Threatening MPs and Government Officials, Says NSS

The National Security Service of Armenia reports that in recent times, numerous calls have been made to various citizens, including members of the National Assembly and government officials, from both real and fake phone numbers (such as +37494663096, 091805319, +37489648700, +37458913321, 088004418, 088007777, 093669120, 094560966). These calls are spreading threats, panic, and misinformation through foreign languages.

The National Security Service urges the public to refrain from engaging in such practices and assures that all necessary legal measures will be taken against the authors and executors of similar initiatives based on relevant investigations.

Considering the involvement of Azerbaijani hacker groups in many of these phone numbers, the NSS additionally calls on the public not to fall for the misinformation disseminated through such calls, to avoid creating panic, and to report any such suspicious occurrences immediately to the competent state authorities.
