Macron Welcomes Agreement on Humanitarian Ceasefire
French President Emmanuel Macron has welcomed the agreement on establishing a humanitarian ceasefire between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as reported by the French Ambassador to Armenia, Jonathan Lacôte, who published Macron's message.
Macron emphasized that the ceasefire decision must be strictly respected by both sides. “This ceasefire must be unconditional and strictly observed by both parties. France will closely monitor this and will uphold its commitment to ensure that hostilities cease permanently, allowing for a swift start to confidence-building discussions,” Macron's statement read.
