Russia Changes Entry Rules for Foreign Nationals
The Russian government has simplified the entry process for foreign nationals. According to reports from РИА Новости, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced during a government meeting that foreigners with close relatives who hold Russian citizenship can obtain entry permits through a simplified procedure.
Such relatives include spouses, parents, children, siblings, grandparents, and grandchildren. The Prime Minister stated, "These relatives will be able to apply for long-term private entry visas valid for up to one year. This will be possible based on a general written request from our citizen." In addition, the legislation will eliminate the requirement that forced foreigners to leave the country every three months to maintain the right to apply for entry permits.
