I Am 100% Confident That We Did Everything Right: Nikol Pashinyan on the Fight Against Coronavirus
The Armenian government has been 100% transparent and continues to remain so regarding the coronavirus. What the Government knows about the coronavirus figures is also known to the public.
This statement was made by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a Q&A session with the National Assembly, in response to a question from SISAK Gabrielyan, a member of the 'My Step' faction, about the establishment of an investigative committee to examine the circumstances surrounding the fight against coronavirus.
“We have adopted the public principle that we must learn to live with the coronavirus, and we have done this, and we did it right. In terms of strategy, I am absolutely convinced that everything we have done is correct, 100%. There have been shortcomings in this process, which have also been noted by the State Audit Office, and the main committee of the National Assembly has made observations as well. As everywhere, there have been shortcomings, but in terms of strategy, we have acted correctly and we continue to act correctly,” he stated.
The Prime Minister emphasized that there are numerous publications in the international press indicating that most countries do not publish the real coronavirus data. “There are and have been countries whose daily data is directly correlated with our daily data. When we look at the graphs, they move in parallel. We publish in the morning, they do so in the evening. It cannot be that, according to the graphs, the same way they synchronize moves forward,” he concluded.
