This Inhumane Act Should Receive the Harshest Evaluation from Law Enforcement Authorities, Spokesperson
Prime Minister's spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan wrote on her Facebook page: "I am shocked by the news of the death of a 6-year-old child due to violence inflicted by a grandfather in Khashtarak. This inhumane act must receive the harshest evaluation from law enforcement agencies. The horrific cases of domestic violence continue in our society, and it is high time to adopt even tougher tools in the fight against domestic violence, while encouraging those at the center of the issue to actively collaborate with law enforcement to prevent and eliminate such occurrences.
Just a few months ago, a 14-year-old girl who had been beaten was discharged from the hospital in Gyumri after suffering cruel violence and had been recovering for a long time; her mother had once again become a victim of violence. Law enforcement must conduct a prompt and comprehensive investigation into the mentioned cases. I believe that the judicial outcomes of these cases will somewhat prevent their recurrence. My condolences to the relatives of the little one."
