Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine Violates Water Use Permit Requirements

The employees of the Syunik Territorial Division of the Environmental and Mining Inspection Body conducted an inspection today following a publication by the Armenian Environmental Front and complaints from residents of Kajaran regarding the water use permit granted to the Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine.

It was revealed that the company fails to secure the ecological discharge, thereby violating the requirements of the water use permit. An administrative proceeding has been initiated. This was reported by the AEF, referencing the Syunik Territorial Division of the Republic of Armenia's Environmental and Mining Inspection Body.
