Erdogan Appeals to Putin on Stabilizing Situation at Armenian-Azerbaijani Border
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has requested Russian President Vladimir Putin to leverage his connections with Armenia to ease the tensions at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
In a statement on CNN Turk, Erdogan's spokesman Ibrahim Kalin said, “Erdogan asked Putin to utilize his ties with Armenia to mitigate the rising tensions at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.”
Turkey had been intensifying the situation by declaring continued and unconditional military support for Baku before reaching out to Putin to request stabilization of the circumstances.
