Armenia No Longer Faces Hospitalization Issues, Minister Says
Armenia had its highest number of active COVID-19 patients on July 6, as noted by the Minister of Health, Arsen Torosyan, after a meeting of the commandant's office.
"That day marked our peak," he stated.
According to Torosyan, Armenia has not faced hospitalization issues for quite some time.
"On the contrary, we currently have many free hospital beds," the minister remarked.
He mentioned that the infectious disease hospital in Vanadzor, the medical center in Vedan, and the medical center in Dilijan are expected to return to their primary operations starting August 1.
"Three more centers will also return to their main operations if the situation maintains the same pace," he added.
The minister also revealed that the number of severe and critically ill patients is around five hundred, or even less.
