National Security Service Charges Head of Davtashen Police Department

The Investigative Department of the National Security Service has initiated a criminal case against officials of the Davtashen Police Department based on the features of Article 309, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, charges have been brought against 41-year-old Mkrtich Varosyan, head of the Davtashen Police Department, 32-year-old Arayik Ghazaryan, the deputy head of the department, and 38-year-old Hakob Hakobyan, a senior investigator at the same police division.

According to the materials of the criminal case, they have overstepped their official powers and encouraged Edgar G. to commit a series of thefts.
