Yerevan's N49 Kindergarten Closed Today Due to Staff Member's Fever
The N49 kindergarten in the Norashen district of Yerevan did not open its doors to children today. During preparations for reopening, one of the staff members had a high fever. After noting this, it was decided to test the entire staff for the presence of the coronavirus infection.
In response to a query from Armenian Time, Taron Gevorgyan, the Deputy Chief of Public Relations at Yerevan City Hall, stated, "The test results are not available yet." He emphasized that discussions regarding the kindergarten's reopening would begin once the test results are received.
If the presence of the coronavirus is confirmed, several safety measures will be necessary, and the reopening of the kindergarten may not happen soon. "But let’s hope that the test result is negative, and in that case, the kindergarten can resume its operations shortly. I can’t say anything about the timelines; that’s not up to us, it’s a medical-professional issue determined by the Ministry of Health," Gevorgyan added.
