Armenian Government to Pay €5,850 in Gasparin vs. Armenia Case Following ECHR Ruling
The Government of Armenia will allocate funds equivalent to €5,850 to ensure the unconditional execution of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) rulings. According to Armenpress, this decision is included in the agenda for the Cabinet meeting scheduled for May 21.
The justification states that according to the ECHR’s ruling on March 26, 2020, in the case of Gasparin vs. Armenia (application number 6822/10), the Republic of Armenia is obliged to pay the applicant the equivalent of €5,850 in three months following the decision becoming final, as fair compensation determined by the ruling.
The ECHR ruling in this case became final on March 26, 2020, and the deadline for the payment of the compensation is set for June 26, 2020.
