20-Year-Old Soldier Who Died in Artsakh Was from Gugark Community in Lori Province

A 20-year-old soldier, Henrik Aramyan, who sustained a fatal gunshot wound under unclear circumstances while on duty at a military post in eastern Artsakh, was from the Gugark community in Lori Province. This information was confirmed by the head of the Gugark community, Ashot Ashughyan.

“They are a working family with one brother and one sister; the sister is a student,” said the village head, noting that Henrik had served for one and a half years.

It is reported that the soldier received the gunshot wound to the head region. An investigation has been launched into the incident by the military investigative department under Article 104 (murder) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
