Government Proposes Fine of 10,000 Dram for Not Wearing Masks in Open Spaces
The National Assembly has convened an extraordinary session to discuss a draft law amending the Republic of Armenia's Code of Administrative Offenses. The main reporter, Deputy Minister of Justice Vahe Danielyan, mentioned that the proposal aims to establish penalties for violations of conditions for free movement during the state of emergency declared due to extraordinary circumstances.
According to the draft, individuals who do not wear masks in open spaces could face fines ranging from 100 to 200 times the minimum wage. However, it is proposed to set the fine for not wearing a mask at ten times the minimum wage, amounting to 10,000 dram.
