Road to Kari Lake Closed, Road to Amberd Fortress Difficult to Traverse

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of May 12 at 19:00, the roadways in the Republic of Armenia are mostly passable.

The road leading to Kari Lake in the Aragatsotn region will remain closed for an indefinite period, while the road leading to the Amberd Fortress is difficult to traverse.

Regarding Lars, information from the Emergency Management Department of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center of North Ossetia in Russia indicates that the Stepanavan-Lars roadway is open only for heavy transport vehicles after intensive snow removal work.

At the same time, it is reported that the decision to prohibit the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. However, this ban does not apply to freight transportation.
