No Individuals with Defendant Status in the Case of the Altercation Between Alen Simonian and Arthur Danielian, Says SIS
The criminal investigation launched by the Special Investigation Service (SIS) concerning the altercation between the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, and the leader of the Adequate Party, Arthur Danielian, is underway, with no individuals currently holding defendant status. This was confirmed in a conversation with Tert.am by representatives of the SIS.
It is noteworthy that the SIS initiated the case based on materials prepared following recent reports about the incident. The charges are based on Article 258, Part 2 (Hooliganism, which entails grossly violating public order, expressing blatant disrespect toward society, and involving violence against individuals or threats of violence, as well as damaging or destroying someone else's property) and Article 117 (Causing light bodily harm intentionally) of the Armenian Criminal Code.
