Citizen Charged with Causing Serious Bodily Harm to Fellow Villager

The preliminary investigation of a criminal case regarding the serious bodily harm inflicted on a 35-year-old man has been completed by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia in the Kotayk region. This was reported by the Press and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee.

It has been found that on December 16, 2019, at around 4:00 PM, in front of one of the houses in Argel village, a 37-year-old resident of Talin city, together with his friends, got into an argument with a fellow villager and his friends. During the altercation, he struck the villager on the head with a shovel, causing serious injury that posed a threat to life.

Based on the collected evidence, the 37-year-old resident of Kotayk has been charged under Article 112, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code (intentional infliction of serious bodily harm). As a measure of restraint, a signature not to leave has been selected for him.
