Gegharkunik Has a New Police Chief
The Gegharkunik Regional Department of the Police of Armenia has a new head.
According to the order of Police Chief Arman Sargsyan, Arthur Mkrtchyan, the head of the Ashtarak Division, has been relieved of his duties and appointed as the Police Chief of Gegharkunik.
This information has been confirmed in a conversation with 'Haykakan Zhamanak' by the Police of Armenia.
Recall that following the high-profile incidents that occurred in Garavar on April 28, the former Police Chief of Gegharkunik, Colonel Gevorg Hakobyan, was dismissed from his position.
