Ararat Mirzoyan Receives Letters from Heads of Parliaments of Various Countries
The Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, is in correspondence with several heads of parliaments from different countries regarding the international situation created by the outbreak of the new type of coronavirus pandemic and the responses from various governments. This information was reported by the Public Relations and Communication Department of the National Assembly of Armenia.
During the past week, the Assembly Speaker received letters from Valentina Matviyenko, Chair of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation; Li Zhanshu, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China; Roberto Fico, President of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy; Sabine Laruelle, President of the Senate of Belgium; Patrick Deval, President of the House of Representatives of Belgium; Tan Chuan-Jin, Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore; and Adriana Muñoz, President of the Senate of Chile.
All of the colleagues appreciated the bilateral relations with Armenia in their letters, highlighted the importance of cooperation, information and experience exchange, and maintaining continuous contact during the pandemic, and emphasized the role of parliamentary diplomacy both during the coronavirus crisis and in the subsequent period.
