Turkey Calls on International Community Not to Recognize Elections in Artsakh
Turkey has called on the international community not to recognize the parliamentary and presidential elections scheduled to take place in the Republic of Artsakh on March 31. This was reported by the Anadolu Agency, citing a statement from the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
The statement from the Foreign Ministry specifically mentions that "Turkey does not recognize the elections to be held in Nagorno-Karabakh, which is occupied by Armenia, as they violate Azerbaijan's sovereignty and territorial integrity." Turkey’s Foreign Ministry urged the international community, including the OSCE Minsk Group, to refrain from recognizing these elections.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry also noted that these elections in Nagorno-Karabakh are allegedly a violation of international law.
