“I’m asking a harsh question, but there’s no other option”: D. Sanasaryan on preventing the spread of the virus

The head of the State Audit Office, David Sanasaryan, whose powers have been suspended, wrote on his Facebook page:

“I’m asking a harsh question, but there’s no other option. What will you feel if you learn that a person died as a result of your irresponsible actions? Will you once again ignore all the warnings and, as usual, look for a new victim?”

“If you can’t imagine yourself in that role, at least show a bit of responsibility and tell yourself that no, you cannot be the cause of someone else’s death, you cannot extinguish another’s light, you cannot leave someone else’s child orphaned… Should this happen as a result of a car accident or from other deliberate or careless actions, for the guilt to be great and unbearable? I want to understand what the difference is when you are warned that you might become a victim of a potential disaster, yet you continue to shine with fatalism.”

“You can insult me, you can hate me, but I’m asking you these questions with love, hoping that a sense of responsibility awakens in you and that you do not contribute to the spread of the virus.”
