VIDEO: Police Compiles Administrative Offense Reports for 1742 Individuals
The police continue to ensure the implementation of the decisions made by the Prime Minister to prevent the possible spread of the new coronavirus, specifically regarding the restrictions on the free movement of individuals. According to the Public Relations and Media Department of the Police of Armenia, as of March 28 at 9 AM, 96 individuals were reported for violating isolation or self-isolation rules or other restrictions on the right to free movement. Since the decision went into effect, a total of 1742 individuals have been reported, with 847 in the capital and 895 in the regions.
As of March 28 at 9 AM, traffic police have identified 491 vehicles in the republic carrying more than two people, and since the decision came into effect until March 28 at 9 AM, 1751 vehicles were reported. All individuals violating the decision were ordered to exit their vehicles.
Administrative offense reports were filed against 45 public transport drivers who carried more passengers than allowed. We urge the population once again to strictly limit their movement outside their homes and to only go out in cases of extreme necessity. We also advise drivers to carry only one passenger while adhering to the requirements set by the Prime Minister's decision.
