The United States Becomes the Country with the Highest Number of Coronavirus Infections, According to Worldometers

The ranking of countries by the number of coronavirus infections has changed. Currently, the United States has surpassed China, the epicenter of the outbreak, to hold the first position globally.

As of 09:30 Yerevan time, there are 86,036 confirmed cases in the USA, with 1,368 recoveries and 1,300 deaths. In China, there are 81,341 infected individuals, with 74,591 recovered and 3,292 fatalities. Approximately 4,000 cases remain active in China.

Italy ranks third with 80,599 confirmed cases, of which 10,361 have recovered and 8,215 have died. Following Italy are Spain, Germany, France, Iran, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and South Korea.

The total number of infections worldwide has surpassed half a million, with 24,104 fatalities and nearly 127,000 recoveries. The virus has spread across 201 countries.

In Armenia, according to the latest data, 265 people have been infected, with 18 recoveries and 1 death reported. A state of emergency has been declared from March 16 to April 14.
