An Employee of the Russian Presidential Administration Infected with Coronavirus: Interfax
The press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, has confirmed information that one of the employees of the presidential administration has tested positive for the coronavirus. Today, Peskov informed journalists that he is aware of one such case. According to him, the infected employee has not come into contact with Vladimir Putin, as reported by Interfax.
"I am aware of one case, meaning I can only confirm one case. I have no knowledge of a second case," Peskov told reporters.
Earlier, the RBC agency, citing various anonymous sources close to the Kremlin and the operational headquarters, reported that two employees of the Russian presidential administration had been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the outbreak of COVID-19 a pandemic on March 11. According to the latest data from WHO, there are already more than 559,143 confirmed cases globally, with over 25,278 deaths.
