Healthy Lifestyle Tips for Those Staying at Home: WHO Director-General
The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has published a series of three consecutive posts on his official Twitter account outlining healthy lifestyle guidelines for people staying at home amid the new coronavirus pandemic.
According to Armenpress, Tedros emphasizes that there are significant changes taking place in people's daily lives, and in this context, it is crucial to pay serious attention to both physical and mental health issues.
In light of the new realities, the World Health Organization recommends:
- Adopt a healthy and nutritious diet to help the immune system function properly.
- Limit the consumption of alcohol and sugary drinks.
- Avoid smoking, as it increases the risk of developing other diseases, particularly when infected with the new coronavirus.
- Listen to music, read books, and play games.
- Avoid reading or watching excessive news if it causes anxiety; get information about the virus only from reliable sources once or twice a day.
The WHO official concluded the posts with a call to stay at home.
