Investigation Launched by Armenian Police Concludes Following Letter from Canadian-Armenian Woman
The internal investigation within the Armenian police regarding the letter addressed to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan by Maria Ghanaghounian, who returned from Canada, has concluded.
The Armenian police confirmed this information in response to inquiries from the Hraparak newspaper. As a result of the investigation, one employee from the passport division was dismissed by the order of the Police Chief, while two employees received disciplinary action in the form of a severe reprimand. However, the police did not disclose the names of those involved.
It is noteworthy that two other officials, the head of the Passport and Visa Department, Mantak Bichakhchyan, and his deputy were also dismissed earlier, though the reasons for their dismissal remain unknown.
