Relative of COVID-19 Infected Woman from Ejmiatsin Files Complaint with Prosecutor's Office
Attorney Gohar Hovhannisyan announced on her Facebook page that the cousin of a woman infected with COVID-19 from Ejmiatsin filed a complaint with the Prosecutor General's Office on March 17 regarding the illegal acquisition of personal or family life information, its dissemination through media and social networks without her consent, along with issues of defamation related to the sharing of the list and photos of infected patients.
"They have been informed in writing by the Prosecutor General's Office that the complaint has been accepted for processing," the attorney noted. It is worth mentioning that a citizen had shared a video about the woman infected with COVID-19 in Ejmiatsin. According to public information, the author of the video was subjected to assault by the woman's relatives.
Aravik Khachatryan, head of the public relations department of the Prosecutor General's Office, also confirmed the information in an interview with Auroranews, stating that the complaint is being processed.
