Prohibition on Sending Masks from Georgia Abroad via Mail
“Georgian Post” announced yesterday that it is prohibiting the mailing of any type and quantity of masks abroad. The reasons for this decision have not been disclosed, but it is clear that it is connected to the shortage of medical masks in the country.
The company has warned that packages containing masks that violate this regulation will be confiscated or returned, and the money paid for the service will not be refunded. The new regulation came into effect on February 27.
This measure became necessary after a well-known shortage of medical masks was registered in pharmacies across Georgia. Some pharmacies, taking advantage of the situation, have raised the prices of masks.
