No Cases of Coronavirus Infection Reported in Iranian Province Adjacent to Armenia
No cases of the new type of coronavirus infection or related deaths have been reported in Iran's northern provinces, particularly in East Azerbaijan province, which borders Armenia, as of February 26. This was reported by Iran’s Ministry of Health, according to Armenpress.
The Iranian Health Minister urged citizens not to travel from province to province, noting that the closure of universities and schools has led to an increase in travel, potentially facilitating the spread of the virus.
During a cabinet meeting today, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani stated that the issue of declaring quarantine in cities is not being discussed.
