Director of the Counterintelligence Department of the NSS has had his powers suspended

The powers of Serob Harutyunyan, the head of the law enforcement supervision and control department of the Counterintelligence Service (NSS), have been suspended. This information is reported by ArmDaily.am.

There are several reasons for this decision, notably his connections with certain representatives of the criminal world, as well as leaks related to specific criminal cases, among others. Particularly notable is the recent case concerning the former chairman of the Urban Development Committee, Vayk Vermishyan, which has seen some leaks.
