Traffic Changes to Be Implemented on Amiryan Street
In order to improve traffic safety and prevent road accidents, changes to traffic organization will be implemented on Amiryan Street in Yerevan starting January 16, 2020. This change will specifically affect the uncontrolled pedestrian crossing area between Amiryan Street and Republic Square. The police have informed about this change.
As a result of the changes, a traffic light system operating in a 'pedestrian call' mode will be installed at the aforementioned uncontrolled pedestrian crossing. Henceforth, the traffic movement for vehicles and the crossing of pedestrians will be regulated by traffic light signals, allowing pedestrians to control the flow with their intervention.
