«Irates» newspaper reports that the newly elected head of the Corruption Prevention Commission, Haikouhi Harutyunyan, known for being a prominent representative of the school from Vanadzor, is a friend of Edmon Marukyan's wife. This connection is said to be the reason behind the victory of the Soros faction in securing such an important post.

It is claimed that Harutyunyan has long known that she would lead the commission, which is why she had begun to act somewhat inappropriately towards the former head of the ethics committee, Siranuhi Sahakyan. Harutyunyan, who inherited a well-rated NGO from Sahakyan, did not join any statements made by the NGO “Legal Path”, created in co-chair with Sahakyan, in order not to be associated with the opposition figure.
