«Hraparak». What Did Samvel Aleksanyan Get in Return for His Donation of KamAZ Trucks?
«Hraparak» newspaper writes: Yesterday, the city hall published a list of donors of garbage collection equipment, which raises suspicions of a corruption scandal. Among the donors is Samvel Aleksanyan's «AlekS Holding» LLC, which donated three multi-functional KamAZ trucks.
According to our information, this was done in exchange for the acceptance of the final act for the construction of the Mega Mall shopping center, which the city hall had not yet approved.
Another donor, «N and S» LLC, donated 14 units of equipment. Our sources indicate that they have received permission to build 5-6 buildings in Davtashen, which were originally supposed to be 14 stories tall, but after the donation, they became 18 stories.
Among the city hall's donors is also «Teryan-5» LLC, which belongs to the sons of former tax authority chair Gagik Khachatryan. However, their contribution is not machinery, but the automotive fleet and service center designated for the city’s Sanitation and Waste Management Department, being built in Charbakh (Aeracia, 88/1 Shirak Street) as a gift to the city.
In return, they were permitted to add 5 more floors to the hotel being constructed on Pushkin Street at the site of the demolished Afrikyan building. Initially, the permission was for 17 floors, but they are now constructing 22.
